The Application Process

Our Process

Our program has certain requirements for future homeowners to ensure you gain the confidence and knowledge necessary to become a successful first-time homeowner.

We want you, a future homeowner, to feel ready to build an affordable new home in the Greater Orlando area.

Our homeowners must:

Afford a monthly mortgage. Our future homeowners need a middle credit score of 650. They also need to meet the following income requirements:

Family Size Min Gross Monthly Income Max Gross Monthly Income
One $4,300 $4,507
Two $4,300 $5,147
Three $3,600 $5,793
Four $3,600 $6,433
Five $3,600 $6,953
Six $3,600 $7,467
Seven $3,800 $7,980
Eight $3,800 $8,493

These income requirements ensure that your mortgage stays affordable for you. It also helps ensure that we’re helping those who need a comfortable place to live that’s easy on a budget.

Need access to a safe, affordable house. Do you live in a home that’s overcrowded, temporary, or unsafe (I.e. not maintained by your landlord)? Or is your household paying more than 30% of its monthly income toward housing? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you meet this criterion.

Partner with us. We want you to feel ready to own your home. Our homeownership classes and sweat equity requirement give you the tools to be a successful homeowner by walking you through basic home maintenance, budgeting, and more.

Our future homeowners must have lived in Orange, Osceola, Lake, Polk, Seminole, Volusia or Brevard counties for at least the last 12 months.

Together, we will help you fulfill your goal of owning a home. Ready to start your homeownership journey?
